PEPSA Announces Strict Monitoring and Enforcement of Saturday 24th February 2024 Environmental Sanitation

The Plateau Environmental Protection and Sanitation Agency (PEPSA) has said that come Saturday 24th February 2024, the monthly environmental sanitation will be observed across the state. Human and Vehicular movements will be restricted between 7:30am and 10am of the same day.

In a statement signed by the Director General of PEPSA, Mr Samuel Dapiya, the agency cautioned the public to stay at home on Saturday 24th February 2024 in order to clean up their environment in line with ‘The Time Is Now to Keep Plateau Clean’ of the Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency Barrister Caleb Mannaseh Mutfwang.

“PEPSA staff and security agencies will be on patrol to ensure strict enforcement. PEPSA also wishes to State that there will be total restriction of Human and Vehicular movements from between the hours of 7:30am to 10am at all entry points into Plateau State on the same day. Only those on essential duties are permitted to move within the hours of the sanitation.” the statement said.

The statement further states that “Security agencies and mobile courts will be on ground to deal decisively with anyone caught wondering or loitering about between 7:30am and 10:00am.”

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

The Plateau Environmental Protection and Sanitation Agency (PEPSA) wishes to remind the general public that the monthly environmental sanitation for the month of February will be observed this coming Saturday 24th February 2024.

This is in line with ‘The Time Is Now to Keep Plateau Clean’ mandate of the Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency Barrister Caleb Mannaseh Mutfwang.

By this notice, the general public is advised to stay at home on Saturday 24th February 2024 between the hours of 7:30am to 10am to ensure that their environment is kept clean. PEPSA staff and security agencies will be on patrol to ensure strict enforcement.

PEPSA also wishes to state that there will be total restriction of human and vehicular movements  between the hours of 7:30am to 10:00am at all entry points into Plateau State on the same day. Only those on essential duties are permitted to move within the hours of the sanitation.

Security agencies and mobile courts will be on ground to deal decisively with any one caught wandering between 7:30am and 10:00am.
