The Beautiful Gate Handicapped People’s Center has handed 100 Tricycle-wheelchairs to Architect Umar Murtula Banye the member representing Charanci, Kurfi and Batagarawa Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Abuja. The 100 Tricycle-wheelchairs donated on Monday 25th March 2024 by Beautiful Gate were distributed to people with special needs in Charanci town of Katsina State.

The event which began at about 9am had in attendance dignitaries from the State and Local levels in Katsina State. Represented by Yahaya Galadima, the Federal Lawmaker while distributing the wheelchairs to the beneficiaries charged them to make positive use of the wheelchairs by enrolling in school or learn a trade. He assured them of his willingness to work and support all activities of People living with Disabilities. He announced the donation of N5,000 each to each of the beneficiaries.

Representative of the Executive Director, Beautiful Gate Handicapped People’s Center Sandra Yilgwan encouraged the beneficiaries to put more efforts in their studies and businesses, while also cautioning them against selling the wheelchairs.
Sandra told them the inspiring story about how Beautiful Gate came about and how the funds sourced are being used to build wheelchairs for free distribution. She appealed to the Katsina State Government and other government agencies to prioritize the empowerment of people living with Disabilities and to support them where possible in order for them become useful and productive members of the society.
