The Plateau State University (PLASU), Bokkos, has officially opened applications for two of its top administrative positions: Vice-Chancellor and Director of Information and Communications Technology (ICT). The university is inviting suitably qualified and visionary professionals to apply and contribute to its growth as a centre of academic excellence and innovation.



Vacancy: Vice-Chancellor
The Vice-Chancellor will serve as the Chief Executive and Academic Officer of the university, responsible for guiding both academic and administrative operations. This is a single non-renewable tenure of five years. Eligible candidates must be full Professors with at least ten years of experience, internationally recognized for academic and public leadership, and under 65 years of age at the time of application.
Applications must include 35 signed copies of the candidate’s Curriculum Vitae, a personal vision statement for the university (maximum 2,000 words), and confidential referee reports from three referees (including one from the applicant’s current place of work). The deadline for applications is six weeks from the date of publication.


LVacancy: Director of ICT
Reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor, the Director of ICT will oversee the strategic management and development of the university’s ICT infrastructure. The ideal candidate should possess a degree in Computer Science or a related field, a Master’s degree, at least ten years of professional experience, and relevant ICT certifications.
Applicants are to submit three copies of their Curriculum Vitae and provide references from three individuals, two of whom must attest to their professional or academic standing. The application deadline is four weeks from the date of publication.
