The Plateau State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ephraim Usman Gar, has described the emergence of Governor Caleb Mutfwang as a divine intervention in the state’s political landscape.
Hon. Usman made the remark while receiving members of the Women’s Wing of the Mwaghavul Development Association in his office in Jos. He reaffirmed the commitment of the current administration to repositioning Plateau State through infrastructure development, youth empowerment, and other impactful initiatives.
Highlighting ongoing efforts, the Commissioner revealed that a portion of the Barc Farm will be allocated to young people for agricultural purposes, aiming to enhance economic self-reliance among the youth.
He further praised Governor Mutfwang’s leadership and reiterated his ministry’s support for programs, especially those targeted at empowering widows and orphans.

Earlier, the National President of the Women’s Wing of the Mwaghavul Development Association, Mrs. Grace Joseph Gora, said the visit was aimed at exploring areas of collaboration with the ministry. She commended Governor Mutfwang for appointing Hon. Usman, citing his proven dedication and leadership. Mrs. Gora also pledged the association’s full support for the ministry’s objectives.
In his remarks, the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Mr. Yakubu Ishaya Mallo, credited the ministry’s progress to the governor’s steadfast backing.
The visit concluded with a symbolic gesture, as Mrs. Gora presented the Commissioner with traditional Mwaghavul attire, in appreciation of his commitment to community development.
