As Plateau State celebrates the second anniversary of the administration of Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, the Chief Medical Director of the Plateau State Specialist Hospital, Jos, Professor Christopher Sabo Yilgwan, has joined numerous voices in commending the Governor for his notable contributions to healthcare transformation in the state.

In a statement issued by the hospital’s Public Relations Officer, Talatu Achan Angi, the CMD conveyed his congratulations to the Governor, describing the last two years as a period of visionary and pragmatic leadership that has elevated the quality and accessibility of healthcare across the state.
“We are proud to be associated with your visionary leadership and the quality contributions you have made towards improving healthcare delivery in Plateau State,” the statement read.

According to Professor Yilgwan, the current administration’s focus on health has yielded tangible results at the Plateau State Specialist Hospital and across the healthcare sector. The CMD highlighted several landmark achievements facilitated by the support of the state government:
* Completion of a State-of-the-Art Laboratory Complex

Professor Yilgwan said these achievements have greatly improved service delivery, patient outcomes, and the working environment for healthcare professionals. He added that the reforms under Governor Mutfwang’s administration are laying the foundation for Plateau State to become a centre of excellence in medical services and training, and a hub for medical tourism in Nigeria.

“These achievements are a testament to your pragmatic leadership style and your commitment to making Plateau State a hub for medical tourism,” he said.
The hospital management and staff also expressed their appreciation for the Governor’s proactive approach to promoting the health and well-being of citizens. The CMD assured that the Specialist Hospital would continue to support the administration’s goals in the health sector, reaffirming their shared vision of a healthier Plateau.

“We wish Your Excellency continued success, wisdom, and strength as you consolidate on the dividends of democracy,” the statement concluded.
This message of goodwill from the Plateau State Specialist Hospital adds to the growing chorus of commendations from across the state, as stakeholders acknowledge the steady progress made by the Mutfwang administration in various sectors, especially health, infrastructure, education, and governance.
As the administration enters its third year, expectations are high for the consolidation of these gains and the expansion of reform efforts that are already yielding results in people’s lives.
