Governor Mutfwang Marks Two Years of Transformational Leadership in Plateau State

Jos, Plateau State – May 29, 2025

The Government and people of Plateau State today marked the second anniversary of the administration of His Excellency, Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, with widespread commendations for his transformational leadership, developmental strides, and commitment to inclusive governance.

In a formal message released by the Secretary to the State Government, Arc. Samuel Nanchang Jatau, FNIA, FCIML, paid glowing tribute to the governor’s remarkable achievements since assuming office on May 29, 2023.

According to the statement, Governor Mutfwang’s administration, guided by the mantra “Time Is Now,” has ushered in a new era of hope, resilience, and people-centered development across Plateau State. Arc. Jatau emphasized that the Governor’s tenure has reignited confidence in governance, rebuilt trust in leadership, and set the state firmly on the path of recovery and sustainable growth.

> “Your visionary, people-focused leadership, driven by resilience, determination, and an unwavering commitment to the ‘Time Is Now’ agenda, has rekindled hope and strengthened the confidence of the people in governance,” the statement read.
Over the past two years, the Mutfwang administration has made significant headway in critical sectors including:

* Governance Reforms: Implementation of transparent and accountable systems aimed at restoring public confidence and institutional efficiency.
* Infrastructure Development: Launch and execution of major road and public facility projects to improve connectivity and access to essential services.
* Economic Revitalization: Support for small businesses, agricultural initiatives, and youth empowerment programs to stimulate local economies and reduce unemployment.
* Peace and Security: Engagement with community leaders, security agencies, and stakeholders to foster unity and rebuild trust in conflict-affected areas.

These efforts, the SGS noted, have begun to restore the glory of Plateau State as a peaceful, productive, and forward-moving entity.

The anniversary message also recognized the strategic partnership between Governor Mutfwang and his Deputy, Her Excellency, Ngo Josephine Piyo, describing them as a dependable team committed to delivering the dividends of democracy to all segments of the Plateau population.

Arc. Jatau, on behalf of the Executive Council, Management, and Staff of his office, extended heartfelt congratulations to the Governor and his Deputy, reaffirming the government’s collective commitment to supporting the administration’s vision.

“As we celebrate this milestone, I remain confident that under your stewardship, Plateau State will continue to stand tall as a beacon of excellence, unity, and inclusive development,” he added.
The statement concluded with a call on citizens, civil society, traditional institutions, and political stakeholders to continue supporting the administration’s efforts to transform Plateau State into a model of good governance and development.
