Chief Ephraim Usman Gar Felicitates with Nigerians on 65th Independence Anniversary

The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Plateau State, Chief Ephraim Usman Gar, has extended warm felicitations to Nigerians as the nation marks its 65th Independence Anniversary.

In a goodwill message issued on behalf of the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Yakubu Ishaya Mallo, the Management, and the entire Staff of the Ministry, Chief Gar congratulated the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, as well as the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, and his Deputy, Hon. Josephine Piyo.

He also recognized the Speaker and members of the Plateau State House of Assembly, the Chief Judge of Plateau State, Hon. Justice David Mann, and all citizens of Nigeria on the occasion of the nation’s independence.

Describing the day as both “auspicious and historic,” the Commissioner called for continued unity, peaceful coexistence, and collective efforts toward national development.

“As we commemorate this significant milestone in our national history, may we continue to unite and pray for the peace, progress, and prosperity of our dear country, Nigeria,” Chief Gar stated.

He reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to supporting the administration’s goals under the leadership of Governor Mutfwang, describing the Governor as “The Captain of the Time is Now Mantra” — a visionary guiding Plateau State toward a brighter future.

The Commissioner concluded with patriotic wishes, saying: “Happy Independence Anniversary! Long live Nigeria! Long live Plateau State!”
