2024 Christmas: MOSIEND Chairman sends Message of Unity and Cooperation among Izon Ethnic Nationality across Northern Nigeria

The Chairman of MOSIEND Abuja/Northern Nigeria Chapter Solomon Debekeme has in the spirit of festivity called on all Izon sons and daughters to unite in brotherhood, watch over each other, support each other and foster the sense of community which is the hallmark of the great Izon people.

In a statement issued on Tuesday 24th December, 2024, Debekeme highlighted the illustrious sons Izon nationality occupying powerful government positions such as the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), and the Ministry of Petroleum Resources all designed to promote the welfare and development of the Niger Delta region.

He declared the volunteered support of his people to the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR to succeed, while pledging to do their best inline with the efforts of critical stakeholders and organizations of the region such as Tantita Security Services and the Big 5 in the Niger Delta struggle HRH Dr Selky Kile Torughedi (Eyewei V of Azzuzuama and Amananawei of Abuja) Leader of South Wing MEND, HRH Asare Dokubo and other illustrious sons.

He used the opportunity to extended his heartfelt wishes for quick recovery to members of the EXCO of the Ijaw Community Abuja who were involved in an autocrash recently, while praying for God’s healing upon them. He concluded by wishing Izon sons and daughters at home and in diaspora Merry Christmas in sound health.

“As we celebrate this festive season, I the 001 Movement for the Survival of the Izon Ethnic Nationality in the Niger Delta (Mosiend) Abuja/Northern Nigeria, Gen.Solomon Debekeme, call on all of us to come together in the spirit of brotherly love and unity. Let us watch over one another, support each other, and foster a sense of community that is the hallmark of our great Izon people.”

“As a community, we are blessed with strong leadership and a rich cultural heritage. We have been endowed with various government organisations including the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), and the Ministry of Petroleum Resources e.t.c which are all designed to promote our welfare and development of our region.”

“Let us therefore remain vigilant, watchful, and committed to the cause of our collective progress. We must work together to ensure the peaceful development of our region, which is our utmost priority.”

“As good citizens of Nigeria and as proud Izon ethnic people, we volunteer ourselves to support the government of President Bola Ahmed Asiwaju Tinubu GCFR. We pledge to do our best to ensure the success of this administration, just as our stakeholders, including Tantita Security Services, HRH Dr Selky Kile Torughedi Eyewei 5th Amananawei of Abuja, the leader of SouthWingMEND,HRH Asare Dokubo i mean the Big 5 of the Niger Delta struggles, have been doing.”
