A Federal High Court in Port Harcourt has ordered INEC to produce Certified True Copies of the APC membership register submitted on April 20, 2026 and the letter notifying INEC of the party’s governorship primaries.
The court also ordered the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the Clerk to the National Assembly to produce the House Hansard from April to June 2, 2026.
Justice Muhammed Turaki gave the orders following applications by lawyer Samuel Amatonjie, who is challenging the eligibility of APC governorship candidate Kingsley Ogundu-Chinda over his defection from PDP to APC.
The court adjourned to December 10, 2026 for hearing after counsel to PDP and Chinda complained of late service of court processes.
